The PTR Patch 3.3 notes have been updated, including major changes about the new Looking For Group / Looking For Raid / “Dungeon System”. The entire changes after the break.
Some major highlights (although you should really read everything after the break, all of it is very important):
Players who take part in groups who have one or more members who have been matched with them randomly from within the Dungeon System will receive extra rewards, up to and including the coveted Perky Pug non-combat pet. The more random players with whom one groups, the faster the pet can be obtained.
Players can be placed in a group for a random dungeon no more than once every 15 minutes.
The Need Before Greed loot system will be the unalterable default looting system for pick-up groups in the Dungeon System and has been updated.
Need Before Greed will now recognize gear appropriate for a class in three ways: the class must be able to equip the item, pure melee will be unable to roll on spell power items, and classes are limited to their dominant armor type (ex. paladins for plate). All items will still be

AddOn Spotlight takes a look at the little bits of Lua and XML that make our interfaces special. From bar mods to unit frames and beyond, if it goes in your AddOns folder, we’ll cover it here.
For anyone that has tried leveling up a profession, you know that it can be a bit of a grind. This can be especially true with things like engineering or jewelcrafting that have little parts that you have to make in order to make the actual items. Even leatherworking has the ability to upgrade leather from one grade to a better grade and still make something out of it. All of this can be confusing, especially with the categories that Blizzard has setup in the normal trade window. Advanced Trade Skill Window can help out with that problem.
This addon comes from Slartibartfast (nice HHGG reference, by the way). If you’re just a skinner/herbalist who doesn’t cook, then you’ll find no use for this addon. Sorry, that’s just the way things go.
What does it do right?
There are two major reasons I love this addon. a) the ability to queue complex items in engineering so that it will

Oh my — we’ve heard about undercutting prices on the AH before (and everyone knows that when you get undercut on the AH, you just buy the lower sales and bring them back up to your prices), but I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone get quite so angry about it. Blueroot was just chugging along, selling Runecloth at what his Auctioneer claimed it should be, and all of a sudden Crunkya showed up, angry that he’d been undercut so much and had to invest so much money in someone that was clearly an Obama voter. Wait, what? Yeah, we’re not sure how he got there either, but you can see the result above.
Lots more drama, as well as downed and recruiting news, in this week’s Guildwatch, which starts up right after the break below. If you have a tip for us, from your guild or just a guild you’ve been following on your realm, please do take a second and email us about it at guildwatch@wow.com. We get a lot of tips and it takes a lot of time to sift through them, but as long as you make it look like what you see below (keep it short and sweet, include all necessary

I have such a big list for you today that you might even have to take a break halfway through! Enjoy:
Battlemasters: Hell Hath No Fury… This comic is becoming a fast favorite, and it isn’t just because of the hot draenei lady. If you have Facebook, why not hop over and become a fan? There’s some cool behind-the-artwork stuff.
Dark Legacy Comics: Drawing Keydar. He’s on holidays again, but it’s amusing filler nonetheless.
Cru the Dwarf: Chapter 6 cover art!
Daily Quests: An Exercise in Self Restraint.
The Scout Report: Just when you thought you’d heard the last from the Sprocket party!
World of Warcraft, eh?: How Does That Even Work? Hilarious!
NPC: Boobroobnoob. The title alone has me laughing. ManUp. I’m sure he’ll get used to it!
NPC: Booby Baiters. I love how it was going to work, too.
Check out the latest from Teh Gladiators.
The Adventures of Disgraph T. Dwarf: Let’s All Go To The Movies! I especially dig the second panel.
NoObz: First Commandment.
Experience Points: I Can Do This!. Also, The Same But Different. Alas, we have lost guildies

Looking for a guild? Well, you can join ours! We have a tabard and everything! Check back for Amanda Dean talking about guilds and guild leadership in We Have a Tabard.
It’s so nice to run a raid when everyone is up to snuff on their characters and can focus entirely on what their doing. Unfortunately there seems to be at least one person who is not at the top of their game. Either the healer that’s standing in fires or the DPS that can’t fight their way out of a paper bag. They’re not bad people and they mean well, but they are better cheerleaders than raiders. What’s a raid leader to do?
I like to help people out and give people a shot, but there’s only so much that I can do. At some point I have to consider the needs of the other nine or people in the raid over the needs of the single player. I was leading ToC 10 with a Hunter pulling 1800 DPS and the entire raid averaging about 2700. We had a number of wipes, but low DPS was a contributing factor. I called out the DPS saying, “Guys, I really need to be seeing 3K DPS.” The 1800 Hunter said, “I

Addon Spotlight takes a look at the little bits of Lua and XML that make our interfaces special. From bar mods to unit frames and beyond, if it goes in your Addons folder, we’ll cover it here.
Have you ever decided to try out a bunch of new addons in order to reorganize your interface? Or, have you ever walked up to the auction house and had forgotten to re-enable Auctioneer after a raid? Or even worse, have you forgotten to setup Peggle before running Trial of the Champion so you could do something during all of the boring introductions (at least before they sped it up)? If you have faced any of these situations then you know how annoying it can be to log out, swap addons and log back in. Thankfully, there is another way.
The Addon Control Panel gives you access to turn on and off your addons from within the interface. After selecting which addons you do or don’t want anymore, simply tell it to reload your user interface and it’s done. This saves your guildmates from seeing constant login/logoff announcements when fiddling with your UI.
This addon originally started out as Master

We haven’t done a piece of armor in a little while (it’s been mostly weapons lately), so here’s a cool helm from the updated Onyxia with an interesting historical twist.
Name: Frostforged Ringhelm (Wowhead, Thottbot)
Type: Epic Plate Head
Armor: 1925
Attributes:
+83 Strength, +154 Stamina
+10 Frost resistance, +10 Shadow resistance. These are on here because this is the updated version of the Tier 2 helm for death knights.
Gallery: Phat Loot Phriday
But wait! I hear you crowing in the comments: “Mike, there is no Tier 2 for death knights!” You’re exactly right — death knights weren’t around when Onyxia was originally dropping loot in the game, but when Blizzard brought her back, they had to have some loot equivalent to all of these revamped Tier 2 helms that she was dropping. So they put this one in. And then even gave us a nice little nod to the past — this is an updated version of the old Mugthol’s Helm, which was bouncing around as early endgame gear back in the day.
Meta and a blue socket, standard for headgear, with a +12
